Technomic projects 1.5 percent increase over 2014 levels.
Technomic projects restaurant industry sales will increase 5.3 percent in 2015 on a nominal basis. The Chicago-based foodservice market research firm made the announcement earlier today during its annual Trends and Directions Conference.
These projections represent a 1.5 percent increase over 2014, which experienced sales growth of 3.8 percent, according to Technomic. Overall, restaurant industry sales totaled $466 billion in 2014, according to Technomic data.
In 2013, Technomic reported industry sales growth of 5.2 percent.
