As part of a series of personnel moves among its current executive leadership team, Wendy's promoted Bob Wright to executive vice president, chief operations officer and Abigail Pringle to chief development officer.
Wright previously served as chief operations officer and in his new role he will maintain his existing responsibilities for company and franchise restaurant operations and take on a larger portfolio of customer-facing responsibilities, including in-restaurant technology, restaurant facilities and the continuous improvement of the customer service experience.
Pringle previously served as senior vice president, restaurant development and growth initiatives.
Related to these moves, Wendy's promoted Todd Penegor, senior vice president and chief financial officer to executive vice president, chief financial officer and international. Penegor will maintain his existing responsibilities for finance, development and information technology, while taking on additional oversight of the Wendy's international division in partnership with Darrell van Ligten, who serves as president for this part of the company.
To accelerate the development of consumer-facing technology in areas such as mobile ordering and payment, customer loyalty and brand engagement, Wendy's promoted Brandon Rhoten to vice president, digital experience.
