Steve Davis has stepped down from his role as CEO of Bob Evans Farms, Inc.

Mark Hood and Mike Townsley, the company's CFO and president of the Bob Evans Foods business unit, will fill the role of Bob Evans Farms' CEO on an interim basis until Davis' permanent successor has been identified.

Both Hood and Townsley will remain in their current positions while carrying out their new responsibilities.

In addition, Bob Evans' Board of Directors has formed a CEO Search Committee to supervise the selection and evaluation of candidates. The committee consists of independent directors Mary Kay Haben, Doug Benham, David Head, Kathy Lane and Paul Williams, who will serve as chair. The committee will retain an executive search firm to assist it in conducting the search, the company also announced.
