As part of its strategy to open 1,000 new locations in 10 years, Sonic Drive-In opened a Culinary Innovation Center.
In this state-of-the-art venue the chain’s culinary team will test ideas, equipment, recipes and products to help facilitate menu innovation. The Culinary Innovation Center consists of a kitchen with the newest tools and equipment necessary to facilitate creative development and new product ideation; a replicated Sonic kitchen to test new products and equipment in a real-world setting; a 40-seat dining room for presentations, meetings, consumer research and more; a 6-seat bar area for collaboration and drink innovation; and installed cameras that allow chefs to broadcast training, food demos, interviews and more.
