Former Chevy's executives Serantoni and Welzien join the emerging pizza chain.

Patxi's Pizza named Peter Serantoni chief culinary officer and Glenis Welzien director of supply chain.

Serantoni's background in the culinary industry spans more than 20 years. His previous experience includes serving as vice president of product development and executive chef for Vicorp Inc., parent company of Bakers Square and Village Inn; and the chief culinary officer and senior vice president of food, beverage and purchasing for Chevys, Inc.

Also a 20-plus year industry veteran, Welzien's background includes serving as director of supply chain for André-Boudin Bakeries and director of purchasing for Chevys, Inc.
