Marvel promoted to president.
Duke Manufacturing Co. promoted David Marvel to president from chief operating officer. In addition, the St. Louis-based foodservice equipment manufacturer hired Tom LaMantia to serve as executive vice president, global operations, and Kathy Veder to serve as vice president of strategic national accounts.
As president, Marvel is responsible for managing the company's day-to-day business activities and will work with the executive team to achieve its strategic and financial objectives. He will also be responsible for expanding Duke's commercial presence across all of the company's market segments. Marvel joined Duke in 2010 from Olin Corp.
In his new role as executive vice president, LaMantia will work closely with the executive team on strategy development and will provide direction to Duke's operations and new product development teams. Prior to joining Duke, LaMantia was president of Watlow and worked for Fortune 500 Companies GE and Honeywell.
Veder will lead Duke's strategic chain accounts sales team. A 20-plus year veteran of the foodservice industry, Veder comes to Duke from Manitowoc Foodservice Group, where she served as vice president of global accounts.
