Franchising is next on the menu for the emerging L.A.-based fast-casual chain.
To help accelerate its growth plans PizzaRev, a Los Angeles-based custom pizza concept, announced plans to enter the franchise arena. To lead PizzaRev's franchising efforts, the company hired Mark Lyso as its new vice president-franchise development.
Lyso comes to PizzaRev from Sizzler, where he served as director of franchise development.
Franchising efforts are in addition to PizzaRev's plans to rapidly expand its network of corporate locations. Earlier this month, PizzaRev opened a location in El Segundo, Calif. The chain will open its newest corporate store in Oxnard, Calif., and continues to develop number of other Los Angeles-area locations, including Burbank, Van Nuys, Bakersfield, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Los Angeles and Westlake Village. PizzaRev also plans to open a company-owned restaurant in Minnesota during the first quarter of 2014.
Earlier this year, Buffalo Wild Wings made an equity investment into the fast-casual PizzaRev.
