Company's leader brings 32 years of restaurant industry experience to his new post.
Jeff Moody is the new chief executive officer for Rita's Italian Ice. Moody brings 32 years of restaurant industry experience to Rita's, most recently serving as CEO of Subway's Franchise Advertising Trust.
Moody's background also includes a variety of executive-level positions, including serving as CEO of MetroMedia Restaurant Group, a multi-concept operator that serves as the parent company for Bennigan's, Steak & Ale, Ponderosa and Bonanza; president of KFC U.S. and as a division vice president at Pizza Hut U.S.
This announcement comes shortly after Mike Lorelli was named interim CEO and executive chairman for Rita's. Lorelli, who continue in his role as Rita's executive chairman, also serves as an operating partner of Falconhead Capital, the private equity firm that acquired the Pennsylvania-based Italian ice chain in December 2011.
In other news, John Dombroski was named senior vice president and chief financial officer for Rita's. Most recently, Dombroski served as chief financial officer of Sancoa.
