Grocery industry executive joins foodservice distributor.
Scott Charlton will become Sysco Corporation's senior vice president for distribution services, effective July 15, 2013. He replaces Fred Lankford, who is retiring after 41 years with Sysco.
Charlton joins Sysco after serving the past six years as executive vice president at C&S Wholesale Grocers. Previously, he spent more than two decades at Publix Super Markets, Inc.
