Industry veterans take on new roles with the pizza chain.

Sbarro appointed Eric Taylor to the newly created role of vice president of international franchise development, and named Dave Gleason its vice president of franchise development, heading up the chain's North American efforts.

Taylor's background includes vice president of worldwide franchise development for Bennigan's Franchising Company and as a consultant for TR Global Management Group representing Applebee's. In his new position, Taylor will oversee, identify and award franchises to qualified, top-tier candidates worldwide.

Gleason's background spans more than 30 years and includes working with a variety of franchised concepts that span several restaurant industry segments.
