Parent-company DineEquity commences search for new IHOP president.
Jean M. Birch, president of IHOP, will step down from his post, leaving parent company DineEquity effective Aug. 27, 2012. As a result, DineEquity, which also owns Applebee's, has initiated a search for a new president for its IHOP chain.
In the interim, Julia A. Stewart, DineEquity's chairman and chief executive officer, will assume day-to-day leadership of the IHOP brand and provide strategic direction until the company identifies Birch's successor.
