First Watch, a breakfast, brunch and lunch chain with over 300 locations in 34 states, was seeking a solution to help hydrate customers, while adding value to their dining experience.
Two of its sites had popular makeshift water stations, with the plan to expand this feature to all restaurants.
“We visited Service Ideas’ booth at the National Restaurant Association Show, and their Round Cold Beverage Dispensers was the topic of discussion,” says Shane Schaibly, First Watch’s vice president of culinary strategy. “The first thing we noticed was the dispensers were sleek with a contemporary design that matched our décor.”
First Watch decided to test the 5-gallon dispenser in 15 locations to provide complimentary cucumber lemon water for its customers. The chain discovered not only was the appearance a perfect fit, but the dispensers were easy to break down and clean.
The NSF-listed Round Cold Beverage Dispensers have a BPA-free Tritan™ plastic body that offers the appearance of glass and the durability of plastic, while the stainless lid and base enhance self-service stations. The parts easily break down for easy cleaning and nested storage, and the container is dishwasher safe.
Shortly after the test, First Watch rolled out the dispensers in all 300 of its restaurants. “We’ve partnered with Service Ideas in the past, and they are a fantastic company to work with,” says Schaibly.
