Unique Preassembled Counters from Multiteria
Q&A with Mike Egan, ExecutiveVice President, Multiteria
You say that timing is important for c-stores. Can you explain?
Mike Egan: Whether a small chain with 5-10 stores a year or a larger one developing 50 or more a year, timely delivery and the ability to open stores quickly is very important. The sooner a store is completed, the sooner they begin to generate revenue.
Multiteria saves the owner time and money because we become the single resource responsible for the fit and finish of countertop materials, exterior counter finishes, locating and installing built-in foodservice equipment and pre-wiring the counter to a single power cord. This responsibility eliminates a lot of field coordination, the need for multiple trades and punch list issues that typically arise. The counter ships blanket-wrapped to the store and is easily rolled into place and ready for operation.
What makes Multiteria different from other manufacturers?
ME: Primarily, we use fully welded square stainless steel tubular framework, which is far superior to traditional plywood
or powder-coated steel cabinet materials. The frames are very rigid. They won't twist or crack and will keep solid surface or quartz countertops stable and free from separating or cracking. This framework design also allows for the easy removal of decorative exterior panels should cosmetic repairs be needed over time and adds even greater value should a store undergo an interior remodel down the road. Counters can be re-skinned very easily, which will be less disruptive and far more cost effective vs. rebuilding or replacing entire counters.
