R&R BBQ appointed restaurant industry veteran Neil Harfert to serve as president of the chain. Founders Rod and Roger Livingston plan to retire to pursue other interests, per a company statement.

Harfert most recently served as vice president of field operations for MOD Pizza. Overall, his restaurant industry career spans 26 years and includes working with such chains as Qdoba and Modern Market Eatery.

Five years ago, the Livingstons took R&R from a championship BBQ competition team to a chain of eight restaurants along the Wasatch Front in Utah. The company also has a full-service catering kitchen.
