Clay Dover was promoted to CEO for Velvet Taco, a fast-casual concept created by Dallas-based Front Burner Restaurants. Dover joined Velvet Taco in 2017, serving as the chain’s president.
Dover’s restaurant industry background includes working with a variety of chains, such as Pei Wei Asian Diner and Raising Cane’s.
In addition to its home state of Texas, Velvet Taco operates restaurants across a variety of markets, including Chicago. The chain plans to soon open restaurants in Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C.
