Manufacturers’ rep firm Curate has developed a mobile equipment lab. Curate uses this fully equipped kitchen on wheels to bring the kitchen technology and equipment directly it reps to customers across the East Coast. Operators and other foodservice professionals can experience some of the products and lines Curate represents without having to travel to a different physical location. “By bringing the kitchen to them, we not only save them time and effort but also provide a real-world environment where they can see exactly how our equipment will perform in their own operations,” said Jeff Hessel, a Curate executive vice president and creator of the mobile equipment lab.
Texas-based rep firm Forbes Hever & Wallace, Inc. hired Hannah Balle to serve as an outside sales representative in its Houston territory. Balle brings experience and expertise, particularly in healthcare and K-12 foodservice solutions, which will be invaluable to our clients in the region. Additionally, FH&W now represents Ice-O-Matic in Texas and Oklahoma.
Hoshizaki America named Permul its exclusive distributor for its commercial ice machines and refrigeration equipment across Canada. Permul and Hoshizaki have had a working relationship since 1989. This move consolidates Western Canada under Permul’s management, per a Hoshizaki release.
PB&J Commercial Agents, an Illinois-based manufacturers’ rep group, hired Jeff Fell to serve as its corporate chef. He will work out of PB&J’s Hillside, Ill., test kitchen. Fell’s background includes working in restaurants and other foodservice operations as well as food science.
Zurn Elkay Water Solutions added Balfrey & Johnston to its rep network. Balfrey & Johnston now represent Zurn Elkay Water Solutions in Wisconsin. Zurn Elkay Water Solutions provides solutions for drinking water, hygiene and sustainable water management. This is an expansion of the companies’ working relationship as Balfrey & Johnston has represented Zurn Elkay Water Solutions in Michigan for 65 years.
