Denny’s Miller Wins IFMA Gold Plate
John Miller, president and CEO of Denny’s Corporation, was named the 2015 Gold Plate Award winner by the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association.
7-Eleven to Acquire Some Tedeschi Food Shops
7-Eleven, Inc. reached an agreement to acquire Tedeschi Food Shops, Inc.’s approximately 182 convenience stores in the greater Boston area and in New Hampshire. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, the transaction is anticipated to close in mid 2015, according to a release from 7-Eleven.
NRAEF Presents ProStart Educators of the Year Awards
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation honored 38 educators with the 2015 ProStart Educator of Excellence Award. In addition, Nathaniel Bradshaw of Wilbur Cross High School in Connecticut and Barbara Hummer of Cuyahoga Valley Career Center in Ohio received the James H. Maynard Excellence in Education Award recognizing two ProStart educators who excel both in and out of the classroom.
SEFA Announces 2015 Award Winners
SEFA, an Illinois-based foodservice equipment and supplies buying group, announced its annual award winners. As part of the 31 awards presented, California-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer Myers Restaurant Supply was named SEFA's Member of the Year for 2015.
