Panera Bread Company named company veteran Blaine Hurst president effective Dec. 12, 2016. He replaces Drew Madsen who resigned for personal reasons.
In his new role, Hurst will focus on Panera’s retail cafe business.
Hurst has been with Panera since 2010 and has held a number of senior leadership positions, most recently as executive vice president – chief transformation and growth officer. Earlier in his career, Hurst held leadership positions with such restaurant industry companies as Papa John’s International Inc. and Boston Chicken.
