Chad Severson was named president of InSinkErator, a manufacturer of food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers. InSinkErator is a division of Emerson, a multi-line equipment manufacturer.
Severson succeeds Tim Ferry, who will serve in a new role as Emerson’s group vice president for Tools and Home Products.
Severson began his career at Emerson in 1992 as a manager in market analysis for Copeland Corporation, where he eventually became vice president of marketing. Severson left Emerson for three years to serve in various sales and marketing positions with Kohler Co., and returned to Emerson in 2005 as Knaack’s vice president of marketing and product development. In 2006 he was appointed president of Knaack and named president of Emerson Tool Co. in 2011.
