Mission Restaurant Supply Enters Dallas-Ft. Worth Market

FE&S' 2012 Dealer of the Year purchases Metroplex Restaurant Equipment.

Mission Restaurant Supply has purchased Metroplex Restaurant Equipment, a Ft. Worth, Texas-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mission's Johsua Folan will serve as general manager of the dealership's new location. Folan previously served as assistant manager of Mission's Austin branch for the past four years. MRE's previous owners, Danny Terrell and Ed Stephens, will remain active in the business.

This represents Mission's initial entry into the Dallas-Ft. Worth market. Mission's headquarters is in San Antonio and the dealership also has locations in the Texas cities of Corpus Christi and McAllen.

Mission Restaurant Supply reported $90.5 million in revenue in 2011, making it the country's 13th largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, according to FE&S' Distribution Giants study.
