The Legacy Companies Acquires Excalibur

Foodservice equipment manufacturer adds line of dehydration tools.

Florida-based The Legacy Companies, a commercial foodservice equipment and retail appliance manufacturer, acquired Excalibur, a California-based company specializing in home and commercial dehydration technology. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Excalibur's products are used in supermarket chains and restaurants. Units are sometimes specified by commercial foodservice consultants and also are sold through dealer channels as well as retail channels.

Other recent Legacy Companies acquisitions include The Blakeslee Company, Omega Oroducts, General Foodservice, Maxximum Foodservice and Zeroll.
