The Foodservice Consultants Society International - The Americas Division (FCSI-TA) has launched its first-ever student competition. Those wishing to enter the 2016 FCSI-TA Student Competition will develop an innovative project related to the hospitality industry, hotel business or foodservice industry for a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship.

The competition is open to foodservice, hospitality or culinary arts students across North and South America.

Submissions are due January 8, 2016. Three finalists will earn scholarships in the form of an all-expenses covered trip to FCSI-TA’s conference, which takes place April 14-16 in Nashville. While at the conference the finalists will present their projects and be able to attend the education sessions and evening networking events.

Project submissions should include an Executive Summary, Project Outline, Terms of Reference, Business Plan, Marketing Plan and Strategic Action Plan. Full details on the contest and submission requirements can be found on the Student Page of the FCSI website.
