PCR to Separate from Purchasing Co-Op

Pride Centric Resources will withdraw from its participation in Alignity Group, effective December 31, 2026. PCR teamed with the National Association of Food Equipment Dealers to form the purchasing-co-op in May of 2025.

NAFED was disappointed to hear of PCR’s decision to resign from Alignity. The joint venture had just begun to show benefit to both the supplier and dealer members,” said NAFED in a statement. “NAFED remains fully committed to Alignity and to ensuring continuity of service for all vendor and dealer partners throughout this transition and beyond.”

As part of this transition, PCR’s Greg Ebel, and Cara Schlarb have stepped down from their Alignity officer roles of CEO and president, and vice president vendor strategy. PCR will honor all agreements and support Alignity Group’s programs through the remainder of 2026, per a PCR statement.

Looking ahead, PCR’s plans will focus on accelerating its “growth strategy and continued investment in capabilities that support dealer and vendor success,” the statement added. “Our commitment to the industry, to independent dealers, and to our valued vendor partners remains unchanged,” Ebel said.

Despite its disappointment, NAFED plans on business as usual moving forward. “We remain focused on strengthening the programs and capabilities that drive growth for independent dealers and the vendors who support them,” per the NAFED statement. “NAFED’s vendor programs, dealer support services, and central pay operations will continue without interruption. Any questions regarding existing programs or agreements should be directed to NAFED’s leadership team, who remain available and ready to assist.”
