Chrane buys Heartland Reps, while Alexander Foodservice Equipment Group and E-Source Miller make personnel moves.
Taz Sutherland was introduced as director of sales for Alexander Food Equipment Group, a Winston-Salem, N.C. -based foodservice equipment distributor. Sutherland’s background includes more than 20 years of experience working with Walmart. In his new role, Sutherland will work with re-sellers, wholesaler, operators and industrial bakeries AFEG’s assigned markets.
Chrane Foodservice Solutions has acquired Heartland Reps. This deal expands Chrane’s reach beyond Texas and Oklahoma into Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Southern Illinois, also known as MAFSI territory no. 16. “We’ve been preparing for this step for a long time, building the right team and refining our processes to ensure we could grow without losing what makes Chrane special,” said Duane Guidry, principal at Chrane Foodservice Solutions, in a statement announcing the deal.
Texas-based rep firm E-Source Miller made two new hires. Chef Molly Sadowsky now serves as culinary center manager. In this role she will support live equipment demonstrations, operator training, and industry events that E-Source Miller hosts in its culinary center. Sadowsky most recently served as corporate executive chef for Fish City Grill. E-Source Miller also hired Roberto Maeve to serve as outside sales – The Valley. In this role he will work with dealers and operators. Maeve’s background includes working in the K-12 foodservice segment in both procurement and operations.
