Applebee’s named Chef Shannon Johnson its vice president of culinary. A classically trained chef, Johnson served as Applebee’s interim head of culinary since June.
This is Johnson’s second stint with the company, having served as an executive chef on Applebee’s culinary team in various roles from 2003 to 2012.
Overall, Johnson has more than 30 years of experience, having worked with such restaurant companies as McDonald’s, YUM! Brands, and Disney’s California Adventure, among others. He’s also a certified executive chef from the American Culinary Federation.
