Remembering John “Jack” Sparacio

John “Jack” Sparacio passed away on June 21, 2021, in Carlsbad, Calif., following a long illness. The 78-year-old Sparacio had previously served as president of Lang Manufacturing, a Washington-based foodservice equipment manufacturer.

Sparacio had a long career in manufacturing that also included stints with such companies as Johnson & Johnson, American Supply Corp., Picker International and McGaw Laboratories. He served as worldwide executive vice president for Advanced Technology Laboratories before becoming president at Lang, a position he held from 1995 through 2001. He left Lang to become president and CEO of IMED Corp. Before his retirement in May 2012, Sparacio served as CEO for Sono Site, a manufacturer of ultra sound equipment.

Sparacio is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children Mark, Ward and Michelle; stepchildren Emily and Stacey; siblings Janice and Joe as well as five grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place July 23, 2021, at Christ Presbyterian Church in Carlsbad, Calif. Memorial donations in Sparacio’s honor may be made to Lincoln College.
