Vanco Adds Parke to its Roster

Indianapolis service agent Vanco tapped foodservice industry veteran Rusty Parke to serve as vice president of operations. In his new role with Vanco, Parke oversees service operations and business development.

In addition to hiring Parke, Vanco has expanded its coverage area to include Southern Indiana; Louisville and Lexington, Ky.; and parts of Southern Illinois. Vanco, a member of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association, hired Tim Kappner to serve as area manager for this new territory.

Parke has a well-established track record with the Allen family, owners of Vanco. He first worked with the Allen family in 1989 as an apprentice technician at Indianapolis-based Commercial Parts and Service Inc. At that time, Gary Allen was an owner at Commercial Parts and Services. Today Allen serves as CEO of Vanco and owns the company with his son Jeremy, who serves as president.

While at Commercial Parts and Service, Parke worked as a technician and trainer for 17 years, eventually managing a team of 25 technicians. He later created a service operation for another local company, starting as a one-person division and ending up with 16 technicians.

“With the recent retirement of our long-time service veteran, Steve Roane, Rusty’s experience and proven track record adds welcomed depth to the Vanco management team,” said Allen.
