With the increasing costs of labor and food, today’s operators need to be able to cook both fresh and frozen food on demand.

The oven’s capability offers a wide range of benefits in minimal space. “An operation can be structured around this oven, but it can also enhance an existing one,” Whitmore says.
Speed ovens are common in quick-serve operations and retail foodservice. However, Merrychef ovens are unique to accommodate a wide range of applications in any segment.

Not only does its tri-pleX technology shorten the overall cooking time, but these ovens can also replace other equipment to free up space. For example, operators can use Merrychef to re-thermalize soup in smaller batches and to order in lieu of bulk production from larger equipment.
“Merrychef also replaces panini presses,” Whitmore says. “Using our Merrychef Panini Press accessory, not only will sandwiches and quesadillas be heated all the way through, but products will be completed in 45 seconds versus 8 minutes with a traditional press.”
While other equipment requires costly hoods, Merrychef speed ovens have built-in catalytic converters that scrub smoke, grease and odors.
“This adds even more flexibility to an operation, as the ovens can be located anywhere they’re needed,” Whitmore says.
