Michael Stasko was appointed president and CEO of BEST Restaurant Equipment and Design, a Columbus, Ohio-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership. Stasko succeeds Jim Hanson, who becomes executive chairman of the board.

Stasko is an industry veteran that has served in various roles at BEST over the years, including vice president, treasurer, and drafting and design manager.

Hanson has served as BEST’s chairman of the board, president and CEO since 1987. He has also been president of the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association. In his new role as executive chairman of the board, Hanson will continue to chair BEST’s board of directors, work with Stasko on longer-term strategic initiatives for the company and stay active on the sales side at BEST.

BEST was founded in 1987 by Hanson, Stasko and Gene Yosick and is now owned by its employees. 

FE&S estimated BEST’s 2017 revenues at $36 million, making the company the 40th largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer according to the magazine’s 2018 Distribution Giants Study.
