McGowan to become Fogo de Chão CEO

Larry Johnson will retire from his post as chief executive officer for Fogo de Chão and become chairman of the board for the Brazilian steakhouse chain.

Upon Johnson’s retirement on Dec. 31, Barry McGowan, currently president of Fogo de Chão, will assume the duties of CEO and join the company’s board of directors.

Johnson spent 11 years as CEO of Fogo de Chão and during that time the company grew from 11 locations in the United States and Brazil to 51 locations worldwide. During that time, the company’s revenue grew to more than $330 million annually from $132 million, per a release announcing the transition.
