Remembering Wayne Martin

 

Wayne Martin, a longtime member of the foodservice equipment industry, passed away on June 22. He was 66 years old.

Martin entered the industry in 1971 working for General Electric Foodservice Company and four years later was promoted to national accounts manager. Martin held that position when GE Foodservice was acquired by Hobart Corp. and continued to serve in a similar capacity for five years. Over the course of his career, Martin also worked with Seco Products, W.A. Brown and Company, Victory Refrigeration and Structural Concepts.

A graduate of Purdue University, Martin served his country in the Air Force Reserve. He's survived by his wife Diane; daughters Jennifer and Michelle and grandson Anthony.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Mathews, N.C. 28104.
