In a move to further support its ambitious acquisition and growth strategy in both new and existing markets, service agent Tech24 added Vestar Capital Partners as an investor. Existing Tech24 investors include HCI Capital Partners and the service agent’s management team.

Commercial cooking manufacturer RATIONAL USA promoted Bill Roller and John Bero to sales director roles for its south and west divisions. These promotions take effect October 1, 2023.

Carpigiani North America tapped Leandra Olivotti to serve as vice president of sales and network development for North and Central America.

Marcone Commercial Kitchen Group, a distributor of parts for commercial foodservice equipment, added two people to its sales team: Donny Smith, southern regional director and Eric Holder, northern regional director.

Chris Stern will retire from his role as vice president and general manager of Vulcan, effective February 16, 2024. As part of the factory’s planned transition, Meghan Hurst will assume Stern’s role effective January 1, 2024, per a company release.

Ken Harris will become vice president of sales for ACP, Inc., an Ali Group company, effective October 2.

 Multiconcept operator Artistry Restaurants promoted Mark Kirke to chief executive officer and partner. Artistry also promoted Daniel Harf to chief concept officer and partner.

Multiconcept operator FAT Brands has acquired Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners for $30 million. Smokey Bones, which has 61 corporate units, becomes FAT Brands’ first barbecue concept.

Applebee’s named Chef Shannon Johnson its vice president of culinary. A classically trained chef, Johnson served as Applebee’s interim head of culinary since June.
