Stanford’s Dr. Shirley Everett to Receive the FE&S Hall of Fame Award

Foodservice Equipment & Supplies will present the magazine’s 2026 Hall of Fame Award to Dr. Shirley J. Everett, Ed.D., MBA, senior associate vice provost for Residential and Dining Enterprises, senior adviser to the provost, Stanford University.

“Dr. Shirley Everett is an exceptional leader who epitomizes the highest ideals of what we look for in an FE&S Hall of Famer,” said Maureen Slocum, publisher of FE&S. “Throughout her storied career, she has not only made significant contributions to the industry but positively impacted the lives of the people she has mentored and served. We are honored to name Dr. Shirley Everett as our FE&S 2026 Hall of Fame award winner."

Dr. Everett leads a team of over 1,400 staff members in creating a culture of excellence. As the senior associate vice provost for Residential and Dining Enterprises, she is the steward of a $3 billion asset portfolio and is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of Stanford’s largest auxiliary. Residential and Dining Enterprises houses 15,000 student residents and serves over 8 million nutritious meals annually. Dr. Everett also serves as a member of the president’s cabinet and as the chair of the board of directors of the Stanford Federal Credit Union.

Dr. Everett is a co-founder of the Menus of Change University Research Collaborative which develops strategies that motivate students and consumers toward plant-forward diets. In addition, Dr. Everett is the founder of the Stanford Food Institute which advances research and education to promote a holistic approach to food choices.
