TriMark USA Names Director of Marketing
Patrick Maness was appointed to the newly created position of corporate director of marketing for TriMark U.S.A., a South Attleboro, Mass.-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership.
FEDA Names New Board Members
The Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association announced a new slate of officers and the election of four members to its Board of Directors during the organization’s 2012 Annual Convention that took place March 28 — April 1 in Tucson, Ariz.
UFPC Buys Parts of PrimeSource
The equity partners of PrimeSource sold the majority of the assets of the Dallas-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership to Unified Food Purchasing Co-op and their strategic partners the Wasserstrom Company (UFPC Smallwares Connection) and Franke Re-Supply Systems (UFPC International Equipment Connection).
NRA’s RPI Hit 101.9 in February
The National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Performance Index (RPI) reached 101.9 in February. This marked the fourth consecutive month the NRA’s RPI exceeded 100, signaling expansion in the index of key industry indicators.

John Metz Named Conti Professor at Penn State
John Metz, executive chairman for Metz Culinary Management, was appointed the Walter J. Conti Professor of Hospitality Management in Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development for the spring 2012 semester. The Conti Professorship Program recognizes leaders within the hospitality industry and invites them to visit the school to interact with students and faculty and present guest lectures.
