Imperial Brown Names New VP
Imperial Brown, a manufacturer of walk-in coolers and freezers, introduced Michael Beachkofsky as its new vice president of marketing and sales. He comes to Imperial Brown from Tucker Safety Products.
Darden Sells Red Lobster and Prepares for Leadership Change
Darden Restaurants made news on two fronts this week. On July 28, the multiconcept operator announced the completion of its sale of its Red Lobster concept to Golden Gate Capital for $2.1 billion as well as the resignation of Clarence Otis, chairman and chief executive officer.

Warburg Pincus to Purchase TriMark USA
In a deal set to close next month, private equity firm Warburg Pincus has agreed to purchase TriMark USA from Audax Group. The South Attleboro, Mass.-based TriMark USA reported sales of $944 million for 2013, making it the industry’s largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, according to FE&S’ 2014 Distribution Giants Study.
Libbey to Bolster Product Line
Libbey Inc. will become the exclusive distributor of Schonwald dinnerware products in the U.S. and Canada. This distribution agreement takes effect Jan. 1, 2015.

The Melting Pot Names New VP of Operations
The Melting Pot Restaurants, a fondue chain with more than 135 locations in North America, promoted Bob Margait to vice president of operations. In his new role, Margait oversees overall restaurant operations, service, menu, restaurant environment, cleanliness standards, service style, service systems, food safety and internal marketing initiatives.
O’Brien Perched on Cardinal’s Sales Team
Cardinal International, a manufacturer of tabletop items for the foodservice industry, named Gil O’Brien northeast regional manager.
Lang Manufacturing Adds Maguire to its Sales Team
Stacey Maguire is the new director of sales for Lang Manufacturing, a St. Louis-based maker of foodservice equipment. In her role Maguire leads sales and marketing initiatives for Lang’s Eastern U.S. region.
Garrard Joins Edward Don & Company
Amy Garrard is the new corporate marketing manager for Edward Don & Company, the Woodridge, Ill.-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership.
