Since then, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, including territory sales manager, manager airline catering and marine, vice president of national accounts and, most recently, vice president of global accounts.

Vijayan Francis is the new executive chef for Park Kitchen, a contemporary American restaurant and lounge at Park Central Hotel New York. Chef Francis, most recently of Essex House in NYC, brings more than 20 years of professional culinary experience to Park Kitchen.
Mother Nature Gives Delivery a Lift
The downside of the bad weather that plagued much of the U.S. during the first quarter of 2014 was that it resulted in a 1 percent decline in restaurant visits, according to the NPD Group. The good news, though, took the form of a 4 percent increase in restaurant delivery orders.

Metz Culinary Management has hired Melissa Swida as director of purchasing. In this role, Swida will manage promotions, maintain pricing contacts, negotiate and monitor corporate purchasing programs, cultivate supplier relationships, explore new products in the marketplace, develop product specifications and evaluate vendor performances.
