U-Swirl Scoops Up 46 Locations
U-Swirl, Inc., has acquired the Aspen Leaf Yogurt and Yogurtini chains from Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory. The deal adds 46 stores, including 40 franchised units, to its network. U-Swirl now has more than 75 locations operating in 23 states.
Ali Group Updates Scotsman’s Management
As it integrates the newly acquired Scotsman Industries into its corporate structure, the Ali Group announced several updates to the ice machine manufacturer’s management team.

Go Roma Gets New Ownership
Fast Fresh Italian, LLC, owner of the Go Roma chain of fast-casual restaurants, has been acquired by Roma Restaurant Investments DiNella Hospitality. Ronald DiNella, former senior vice president and CFO of Morton’s Restaurant Group, will lead the company and serve as president and chief executive officer.
T&S Brass Adds Nolan to its Marketing Team
Tim Nolan has joined T&S Brass and Bronze Works as a marketing product manager.
GMCW Updates Sales Roster
Louisville-based foodservice equipment manufacturer GMCW promoted one longtime member of its sales team and added two new players to its roster. David Haimes becomes the company’s area vice president, Northeast; Kristian Kuh was named Western U.S. area sales director; and Kenny Stratton was named Central U.S. area sales director.
Darden Updates Management at LongHorn and Olive Garden Brands
Darden Restaurants, Inc. named Dave George president of its Olive Garden concept and promoted Valerie Insignares to president of its LongHorn Steakhouse concept. In addition, the company announced that John Caron, most recently president of Olive Garden, has decided to leave Darden.
