Greifeld to take the Helm at Captain D's

Phil Greifeld has resigned his position as chief executive officer of Huddle House to become president and CEO of Captain D's, effective Sept. 13. Greifeld replaces Chris Head, who is leaving Captain D's to become president of O'Charley's, effective Sept. 1.

Ken Keymer, a member of the Huddle House board of directors, will take over as the restaurant chain's interim CEO. Keymer's previous experience includes serving as CEO of VICORP Restaurants, Inc., the parent company of Village Inn and Baker's Square; and as CEO of AFC Enterprises, the parent company of Popeyes' Famous Fried Chicken.

Greifeld joined Huddle House in 1995 and spent the past 10 years as the president and CEO of the Atlanta family diner chain, which has more than 400 units.
