Domino’s Pulls the Trigger on a Succession Plan

Allison to replace Doyle as president and CEO of the pizza chain in July.

After eight years with the company, Patrick Doyle plans to resign his post as president and CEO of Domino’s effective June 30. Richard Allison, president of Domino’s International, will replace Doyle effective July 1. In addition, Dominio’s will appoint Russel Weiner, president of Domino’s USA, to the newly created position of chief operating officer and president of the Americas, also effective July 1.

Alison joined Dominio’s in 2011, coming from Bain & Company, a global business consulting firm. He was a partner and co-leader of Bain’s restaurant practice.

In his new role, Weiner will oversee marketing, operations, store growth and development, franchise relationships, strategy and insights and e-commerce for Domino's in the Americas. Weiner joined Domino’s in 2008 and during his time with the company he helped revamp the chain’s menu and helped create its Pizza Theater store design, among other initiatives.
