Ali Group Updates North American Management Team

Rob August to become vice president of business development.

The Ali Group, an Italy-based multiline foodservice equipment manufacturer, made a series of personnel moves in its North American operating companies that will take effect Sept. 1, 2017. As part of these changes, Rob August will assume the role of vice president of business development for Ali Group North America, working out of Ali Group North America’s corporate office in Vernon Hills, Ill.

Erik Nommsen will become CEO of Ali Group North America - Refrigeration Division, which includes the company’s Beverage-Air and Victory Refrigeration lines. In addition, Nommsen will gain the title of CEO of the Champion Group, which includes Champion, Moyer-Diebel, Bi-Line and Trysis product lines.

Will Means will take over the role of general manager of Champion Industries, which includes Champion, Bi-Line, and Trysis product lines. He most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for Champion.

August began his career with the Ali Group in 2006 as executive vice president of Champion Industries and in 2008 transitioned to Beverage-Air where he was appointed president a few years later. In 2014, he took over the presidency of Ali Group North America - Refrigeration Division.

Nommsen returned to Champion for his second appointment as president of the company in January 2016. His first tenure ran from 2008 to early 2014.
