Fiesta Restaurant Group Intensifies Its Focus On Off Premise Revenues

Parent company of Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical hopes to double sales generated via to-go, online ordering, catering, drive-thru and mobile app orders in 10 years.

Fiesta Restaurant Group, Inc. named Willie Romeo its first corporate director of off-premise consumption. In his new role Romeo will focus on all aspects of the Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical brands' off-premise business, including to-go, online ordering, catering, drive-thru and mobile app orders.

The multi-concept operator hopes to double its revenues from this portion of its business during the next 10 years, according to a company release.

Romeo previously served as Pollo Tropical's director of franchise operations. Prior to joining the company, the restaurant industry veteran served in franchise and operations roles at Dunkin' Brands, Inc., and Burger King Corporation.
