Pair of Service Agencies Merge

Commercial Foodservice Repair and Tech 24 team up to form single company.

Commercial Foodservice Repair has merged with Tech 24. The newly merged company will go to market under the Tech 24 trade name. Headquartered in Greenville, S.C., the service agency will serve 17 states and have more than 330 service technicians. Its customer base will include retailers, QSRs, full-service restaurants and concessions operations.

Kurt Herwald, president and CEO of Commercial Foodservice Repair, will hold the same role within the newly merged company. Rick White, president and CEO for Tech 24, will remain with the company managing and building markets in such areas as Virginia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

“Rick White and his colleagues add comprehensive service and repair skills, plus longstanding authorized service agreements to the portfolio,” Herwald said. “We’re now the second largest service and repair company in the industry. Our plan is to build the company and grow our tech force, acquire other independent operators in selected regions, and offer our customers the unique ability to serve their multi-location needs.”

In addition, the newly formed company will open a new Baltimore location on Aug. 4.
