Supply chain veteran becomes the dealer organization's VP of operations.

SEFA, a South Barrington, Ill.-based foodservice equipment and supplies buying group, named Joe Ricciardi, PhD, its new vice president of operations.

As a member of the SEFA Management Team, Ricciardi will be charged with strategic planning, program management, finance and business development.

Ricciardi comes to SEFA after serving as director, supply chain integration at HAVI Global Solutions, a company that offers packaging services, marketing and business analytics, supply chain services, promotions management, and recycling and waste solutions.

Ricciardi is a West Point Graduate and has served his country on three tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq, commanding a battalion of 1,000 soldiers. He now serves as a Commander of an Army Reserve training battalion responsible for portions of the training and leadership development curriculum of cadets at the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.
