Happy New Year and welcome to the 2012 version of Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine. We are enthusiastically embracing the changing media landscape as we strive to provide you, our readers, with the timely information and data that you require to do your jobs and run your businesses effectively.

Demand for our print product remains strong, which is a credit to Joe and our team of editors who continue to raise the bar for reporting on the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. We remain mindful, however, of providing you with ample digital options as more and more people continue to choose to consume media in its many electronic formats. On the first business day of each month, the digital version of the magazine is available at fesmag.com.

As an FE&S subscriber, you have the option of receiving the digital edition in your inbox, on the first business day of every month, in addition to or in place of the print magazine. The FE&S free iPad app has been downloaded more than 1,000 times and we are in the early beta development stages of an android option as well.

Many people have asked me about the meaning behind our company name: Zoomba Group. The urban dictionary defines zoomba as a verb meaning “to make it move.”

We are driven to help foodservice professionals, our readers and advertising partners alike, make it move in 2012 in print, in person, online and through our industry-leading research platforms.

Along those lines, we hope that we can move you to join us for our free sustainability webcast, which takes place on January 31.
