H. Weiss Buys Part of BRC Commercial Kitchens

Deal involves a pair of FEDA members.

H. Weiss, a foodservice equipment and supplies dealership based in Armonk, N.Y., has acquired certain assets of BRC Commercial Kitchens, a dealership based in Elmwood Park, N.J., according to a report published in FEDA First Thing. In addition, H. Weiss has agreed to hire certain BRC personnel.

The deal is expected to bolster H. Weiss' contract design department, according to a statement from Jim Weiss, the dealership's president.

A member of the SEFA buying group, H. Weiss reported 2011 sales of $24 million, making it the country's 52nd largest dealer, according to FE&S' 2012 Distribution Giants study.
