H. Weiss Buys Part of BRC Commercial Kitchens 
H. Weiss, a foodservice equipment and supplies dealership based in Armonk, N.Y., has acquired certain assets of BRC Commercial Kitchens, a dealership based in Elmwood Park, N.J., according to a report published in FEDA First Thing. In addition, H. Weiss has agreed to hire certain BRC personnel.

Rockovits Joins Metz Culinary Management
Contract foodservice provider Metz Culinary Management has named Chad Rockovits district manager for the company’s K-12 school services accounts, overseeing 15 school districts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Quiznos Names Mathis President and CEO
Quick-service sandwich chain Quiznos named Stuart Mathis its new president and chief executive officer, effective July 30. He succeeds Greg MacDonald, a 14-year Quiznos veteran who stepped down immediately.

National Restaurant Association Creates Military Foundation
The National Restaurant Association has launched a new foundation that will help train members of the military and veterans for careers in the foodservice industry.
