Casual dining chain Max & Erma's promoted Steve Weis to president from vice president of operations.

Previously, Weis was vice president of operations for Thomas & King, Inc., a large Applebee's franchisee. Before that, he was senior vice president of Operations for Jillian's Entertainment.
