Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance
The National Restaurant Association announced the addition of Christopher Melchert as senior manager for food safety and quality assurance, a new position within the government affairs and policy team.
Melchert brings more than 27 years of food safety and protection experience to this role. He served as a compliance officer for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Melchert served as director of regulatory and technical affairs for the Snack Food Association and was an environmental health specialist for the Fairfax County Health Department and the Virginia Department of Health.
