Tossed Franchise Corp. Names Chodash President

Quick-casual foodservice operator Tossed Franchise Corp. named Jason Chodash its new president. Chodash, who founded the salad and sandwich concept, previously served as the restaurant chain's executive vice president. He takes over the role of president from Eric Schmitt, who retains his post as CEO of Tossed.

In his new role, Chodash will focus on strategic development, working with Schmitt to open specific territories in the U.S., Canada and elsewhere, according to a company release. Tossed recently announced its first presence outside the United States through the signing of a franchise development agreement for British Columbia, Canada.

Chodash founded Tossed Franchise Corporation in 2004 to grow the Tossed concept beyond its New York City origins. Chodash hired Schmitt, a franchise industry veteran whose experience includes time with such restaurant chains as Marco's Pizza and Atlanta Bread, to serve as president and CEO.
