Hees to Wear Burger King Crown

Bernardo Hees will become chief executive officer of Burger King Holdings Inc. once 3G Capital completes its $4 billion acquisition of the quick service restaurant chain.

John Chidsey, Burger King's current chairman and CEO, will remain in that position until the deal closes. At that point he will assume the newly created position of co-chairman of the board along with Alex Behring, managing partner of 3G Capital, who will become co-chairman of the board, working alongside Chidsey.

Hees most recently served as CEO of America Latina Logistica, Latin America's largest railroad and logistics company.

3G's acquisition of Burger King Holdings will take the company private and is subject to regulatory approvals. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year according to a 3G release.
